Mijas Costa del Sol

The picturesque rural town of Mijas, is situated on the western coast of the Costa Del Sol just 30km from Malaga. It is a typical example of a mountain town in Andalusia, and has wonderful views over the Costa del Sol.

Mijas is perched high on the hillside near Fuengirola, and to reach it you must make your way up a narrow winding road. Although popular with tourists, it still has managed to keep it's charm.

Many of its narrow streets here are restricted to pedestrians and donkeys, which is a great fun mode of transport and takes the weight of the feet for a short while. Then there are plenty of small cafes and restaurants for you to chill out and pass the time of day.

If you want to cool off and have some fun at the same time, there is the Mijas Aquatic Park, a family waterpark where you'll find a wonderful world of wild water, whirling rides and waterslides. For the little ones there is the colorful waterplay area "Aqualandia", specially designed for them.
