The area around Gran Alacant has some rare advantages, on one hand it is situated on a fine sandy beach in beautiful surroundings, which offer an ideal place for swimming.

Another advantage of Gran Alacant is that one can reach the Airport of El Altet in less than 10 minutes. Relaxation and bustle are rarely so close together.

Alicante city offers remarkable celebrations throughout the year such as the Hogueras in June. Gran Alcant is situated between Alicante and Santa Pola which is a good starting point for trips to the nearby Island of Tabarca.

Tabarca is regarded as a very good area for diving. In the salt lakes (Salinas) of Santa Pola one can observe the flamingos and many more exotic birds. Alicantes cliffs excite many paragliders and also those who enjoy sightseeing in which one can see beautiful panoramic views along the coast.
