The town of Benidorm has been a long time British favourite, and is Spain’s largest resort. From a distance, its high-rise buildings stand out, inviting you to participate in the ultimate in entertainment.
It is only a 30 minute drive north of Alicante and there are plenty of car hire companies and taxis available at the airport.

Entertainment
Millions of visitors each year come to be entertained, with numerous restaurants, clubs, shops, pubs and bars and great beaches such as Playa de Levante, Playa de Poniente, Mal Pas, and La Cala. Playa de Levante, has plenty of bars, cafes and other facilities but can get some what crowded in the high season.
The waters around the island are a marine reserve, and you can journey beneath the waves in the Aquascope for a mesmerizing look at the schools of fish and colourful underwater life. For water sports enthusiasts there is boating, fishing, swimming, and jet-ski's.
The World renowned Benidorm Palace has a glittering, Las Vegas-style show, with Spanish dancers, flamenco, jugglers and magicians, along with a live dance band and orchestra. Show admission includes the first drink and you may also have dinner there if you wish, all at an extremely affordable price.
The Costa Blanca Casino is one of the largest casinos in Spain, and you’ll find it on the road between Benidorm and Villajoyosa. There’s also a restaurant and bar. Dress is smart casual. There’s an admission charge, and you’ll need your passport. Open 8pm-3am
On the outskirts of Benidorm there is a Medieval Tournament, that offers feasting and merry-making medieval-style. Armoured knights on horseback joust and duel before the king and queen. You can sing along with the court jesters, or descend into the Pit of Terror. There’s a disco following the entertainment to round off a fabulous day.
Benidorm's recreational possibilities are endless, and it wouldn't be complete without taking an exciting day out at the Mediterranean Theme Park Terra Mítica, and as with elsewhere in Spain there are festivals and fireworks that are sure to delight and entertain you.
